The puppy has to be trained properly to live without causing trouble to the house and people living in it. Potty training your dog is essential to maintain the cleanliness of the house and the dog. Don’t turn to punishing the dog when you find that the dog is doing the deed on the floor. Patiently show it the place to do it and take time to notice the time when it wants to do it. Always encourage the dog with praises whenever you see that the dog is doing things in the right way.
Lay down old news paper on the floor and place the disposable puppy pad on the top. The puppy pads contain chemicals that will motivate the puppy to relive himself. You have to identify when the puppy want to pass. The puppy will be sniffing around and walk like searching for something. Don’t hesitate to immediately pick the dog and place on the pad.
After the puppy has learned to pass it on the pad slowly start placing the pad outside the house. Continue this process of shifting pads until you find the needed place where you want the puppy to relieve. Soon the puppy will learn to go to the door and look for the pad to relive himself. You must be consistent to keep the door open and placing pads when the puppy needs it. You should also praise the dog after he does it correctly in the outdoors.
In the process of potty training your dog after finishing learning to relive outside on the puppy pad you can start training him to relive without puppy pad. The puppy will be soon able to do things when it wants without your help or attention. Initially the puppy may make some mistakes. You must be patient enough and never take steps to punish the dog.
